Fans are wondering if Dominik Mysterio is looking to betray Rhea Ripley, as her real-life boyfriend Buddy Murphy once kissed Mysterio's sister in WWE.

WWE fans were quick to notice the connection when Dominik Mysterio started getting close to Rhea Ripley. Ripley’s real-life boyfriend, Buddy Matthews, who worked in WWE as Buddy Murphy, was once involved in a romantic angle with Dominik’s sister, Aalyah Mysterio. The WWE Universe is now wondering if Dirty Dom is doing everything out of spite for Murphy kissing his sister.

In 2020, Murphy was in a stable with Seth Rollins when the latter played the gimmick of Monday Night Messiah. Rollins was feuding with Rey Mysterio at the time, and his family was involved in the feud. During that time, WWE produced an angle where Rollins’ nephew Murphy got into a love angle with Dominik’s sister, Aalyah.

According to the fans, Dominik Mysterio might still be angry with Murphy for kissing his sister on screen. Therefore, fans believe that he is planning on taking his revenge and thus getting close to Murphy’s girlfriend, Rhea Ripley. However, this might just be made up, as WWE has never shown any sign of such behavior.

The reason for that is that Murphy is no longer with WWE. He was released in 2021, and then he debuted on AEW as Buddy Matthews. He aligned himself with Malakai Black and Brody King as the “House of Black.” They are currently the Trios Champions, and therefore, it does not seem like Matthews might return to WWE any time soon.

Rhea Ripley has been the champion since WrestleMania, while Damian Priest won the MITB Briefcase at Money In The Bank in July. Finn Balor is feuding with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who almost won the title in their previous match.

The last member, Dominik Mysterio, surprised everyone when he defeated Wes Lee on the most recent episode of NXT. A video was posted on WWE’s Twitter account praising the NXT North American Champion, who was seen taking care of Rhea Ripley. Ripley commented on the video, saying that Dominik is the best and showing her love for the new champion.

The title win was completely unexpected, and hence, fans are now curious as to what will happen next. This is Dominik’s first singles title win in WWE, as he had won the Tag Team Championship with his father, Rey Mysterio earlier in his career. They became the first father-son duo to win the title in WWE history.
