“That is something I’ll try my hand at later on, just for fun”- UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya opens about his future in WWE
Israel Adesanya is wide open for working with WWE someday in future
The Nigeria born New Zealand Mixed Martial Arts icon Israel Adesanya is the reigning champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the middleweight category. Last night he successfully defended his gold at the UFC 276 pay per view event held at the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas against Jarod Cannonier. There were attractions all around the event as Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Pat McAfee also payed a visit to the marquee event shortly after handling their own business at Money in the Bank premium live event moments ago.
After winning his bout against Cannonier, the UFC middleweight Champion Adesanya was interviewed by BT Sport where he was asked about a potential jump off to the WWE at some point in future to which he responded very optimistically and said that is something he would definitely love to try hands on in future but just for fun. He also said it might not be full-time gig but he would love to work with WWE just because of that “entertainment factor”. Here’s exactly what the champion had to say,
“Definitely, that is something I’ll try my hand at later on, just for fun. I’m not saying it’s going to be a full-time job, but I’m definitely going to jump in the WWE, or something along that line just for the entertainment factor. Because I grew up jumping off the couch, broke my arm, shooting stars, yeah“
Israel Adesanya payed homage to the legendary Undertaker at the UFC 276 event
One of the biggest headlines of Saturday night was the Undertaker’s theme and entrance being played by someone in an UFC arena walking up to fight his opponent carrying an urn and Taker’s patented costume all the way to the cage and the man behind that was none other than the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
Following the event and his successful title defense against Cannonier, The Undertaker responded to Adesanya’s tribute to him saying,
“The long walk many opponents know and fear……. Congrats” while tagging Israel Adesanya.
