The signing of Jade Cargill has been one of the biggest highlights for WWE in the past week. WWE is promoting Cargill as one of their top stars as she prepares for her debut in the Performance Center. There were rumors that WWE had rejected the former TBS Champion a few years ago as she established herself in AEW. However, Cargill had cleared the air and stopped all the speculation.

It was rumored that WWE had rejected Cargill in 2020, and they did not want her in the company. However, Cargill responded, “and for the record. NOBODY passed up on me. I MADE the best decision for me and my daughter.” Therefore, it was made clear by the 31-year-old that WWE did not pass up on her.

Instead, she decided to stay with AEW, as it was in the best interest of her and her daughter. Last week, ESPN announced that WWE and Jade Cargill had signed a multi-year contract. Fans were happy for Cargill, as she had a dominant run in AEW and showed that she had the potential to be the top star in any promotion that she worked in.

Cargill was also the first signing that WWE had following their formal merger with Endeavour under the TKO banner. There is no word as to when Jade will debut in a WWE ring, but her pictures and videos from the Performance Center have hyped up fans, and Cargill will be one of the top women on the WWE roster.

Jade Cargill’s husband surprises her with a treat for signing with WWE

Fans and fellow wrestlers from AEW as well as WWE have been wishing Jade Cargill the best luck for her next stage since she signed with WWE. However, her husband, Brandon Phillips, went the extra step and gave Jade a special surprise gift. Phillips, who is a professional baseball player, decorated a room full of balloons and had a cake congratulating Jade.

Cargill shared the pictures and videos from the celebration on her social media as fans congratulated her. She wrote, “He did his thinggggggg. No I’m not lucky, I’m blessed YES“. Cargill and Phillips also own a team together called Texas Smoke, who play in the Women’s Professional Fastpitch (WPF) based in Austin, Texas.
