John Cena is one of the biggest if not the biggest name in the world of professional wrestling in recent times. The 16 time WWE Champion has had an illustrious career since making his debut in WWe in 2002. The Leader of Cenation has been a true face of the WWE during his 20 years with the company and has helped the company grow and reach newer heights. After spending two years in OVW which was WWE’s developmental territory at the time Cena burst in to the main roster when he came down to the ring to confront Kurt Angle.
Such was a showing of the impressive youngster John Cena even got praised by the Undertaker in a backstage segment. John Cena later adapted the Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick which was much beloved by the fans. The gimmick also shed light on the impressive mic skills Cena had , making him a complete sports entertainer. John Cena along with his mic skills was a very talented in ring performer which was clearly visible early in his career where he feuded with the likes of Big Show and Undertaker.

Cena would win his first ever title in WWE when he defeated the Big Show for the United States Championship. After feuding for a while and dropping the title John Cena found himself in the WWE Championship picture. John Cena after losing out on an opportunity to win the Royal Rumble won a battle royal on Smackdown to determine the number one contender for JBl’s WWE Championship. The win meant John Cena would face JBL at Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship.
Cena defeated John Bradshaw Layfield at Wrestlemania 21 to become the WWE Champion for the first time in his career and introduced the iconic spinner belt which is synonymous with John Cena. JBL in recent interview on “Busted Open” shared his opinion on John Cena and how he has changed the wrestling industry forever :
“If you say, ‘Is he the G.O.A.T?’, he certainly is in the debate of the G.O.A.T,” JBL began.
“You know, it’s hard to compare eras. How do you compare Cena with Sammartino who owned the Garden for 10 years. But to me, he’s the best representative our business has ever seen. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.”
“650 Make-A-Wishes. He gave a million dollars of his own money to social inequity to help solve the problems of society. He’s just one of the best, most respectful guys I’ve ever been around. He is the best representative of this business that I’ve ever seen.”
John Cena in his 20 years with the WWE has redefined what being a WWE superstar means with his commitment towards his work and has done everything for the WWE with Hustle, Loyalty and Respect.
