SummerSlam 2023 has been officially registered in the history books of WWE. The Tribal Combat match between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns was the most anticipated matchup of the night. It kept the fans on the edge of their seats, and the crowd was energetic throughout the match. What captured the attention of the fans was Jey’s new tattoo on his back which was carved a few weeks ago.

The new tattoo of Jey Uso spreads over his back and goes down till the end in a tapering way. The 37-year-old engraved it somewhere between July 14 and July 28. As it was a special match for Jey, he even trimmed his hair from the sides for a good look at SummerSlam. All of these were shown to the WWE Universe as a part of the SummerSlam 2023 Vlog series on WWE’s official YouTube channel.

In the July 14 episode of SmackDown, Jey Uso was not seen with the tattoo on his back as he attacked Solo Sikoa. Moreover, the July 21 episode gives no clue about whether he has inscribed the tattoo because he wore a t-shirt that covered his torso. But in the very next episode of SmackDown, the tattoo was visible during Solo and Roman’s attack on him. It came to focus at SummerSlam when Main Event Uso wrestled without his t-shirt.

The Tribal Combat match saw Roman Reigns emerge victorious by defeating Jey Uso. The closing moments of the match saw Jey in full swing, applying a spear followed by a Uso Splash. As Jey was on the verge of pinning the Tribal Chief, Jimmy Uso shocked the world. He pulled Jey Uso’s leg from ringside and applied a superkick to him. The Head of the Table took advantage of this and speared the 37-year-old through the table, securing his win.

The Tribal Combat match at SummerSlam 2023 delivered an absolute shocker to the WWE Universe. Jimmy Uso made his return and betrayed his brother, leaving the fans in shock. As Jey was nearing his win over Roman Reigns, Jimmy pulled him out of the ring during a pinfall and attacked him.

But a shocking moment came during the match when Reigns accidentally speared Solo Sikoa. In the aftermath, The Enforcer showed his ire over Roman and demanded clarification for his attack. As both stars were busy arguing, Main Event Uso took advantage of it and speared Roman through the barricade.

It was speculated that Sikoa would be turning his back on Reigns in the coming future. And for that, this incident has slightly hinted at the cracks between Roman and Solo. The match was set to culminate The Bloodline storyline with the clear winner being Reigns. But now it seems to have had a bit of a revival with Jimmy’s heel turn.
