Jey Uso and his son Jeyce Fatu
SummerSlam is around the corner and the main event of the show is sure to capture the attention of the fans. The Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will headline the night. WWE recently shared a video where Jey’s son, Jeyce Fatu, makes a prediction for the Tribal Combat match.
The video was shared on all social media platforms. In the clip, Jey Uso was seen at his house on Wednesday, August 2, getting his gear ready for the match on Saturday. Jey then proceeded to call his son, Jeyce, and make him face the cameras and have him greet the crew. He was then asked about his thoughts on who would win the match at SummerSlam.
In a humorous fashion, Jeyce Fatu said, “At this point, I think Uncle Joe (Reigns) again!” This left all the members in the room chuckling, and Jey hilariously went near him and silenced him to predict in favor of Roman Reigns. But even when Main Event Uso grabbed him, his son continued, stating that he lost their previous match in 2020.
Upon further silencing his son, Jey asked him to forget that loss and make the prediction for this match. Jeyce continued laughing throughout this moment and ended up saying that his father was going win. It was a hilarious moment, and the video has been making the rounds on the internet. Watch the clip here.
Jey Uso will be facing Roman Reigns in a singles match for the first time since Hell in a Cell 2020. Jey registered a major accolade on his name last month when he became the first person to pin Reigns after 1294 days. This keeps him at an advantage, having momentum on his side. However, the betting odds favor Roman to retain his title once again, taking advantage of the Tribal Combat rules.
Freddie Prinze Jr. calls Jey Uso the star of SmackDown
Freddie Prinze Jr. spoke on his podcast, Wrestling with Freddie, about Jey Uso being the star of SmackDown. He praised that the Main Event Uso has incredible expressiveness now and tells the story in a great way. Prinze stated how Jey is the most loved superstar currently because of his impressive skills.
The 47-year-old cited how everybody knew where the story was leading, but Uso’s mannerisms kept us hooked to it. He said, “I’ve never seen a wrestler get cut to more when they’re not talking than Jey Uso.” Freddie does not understand how good Jey can be with his promo skills nowadays, as he looks so committed to it so naturally.
The former Right Hand Man will be fighting Roman Reigns for the title of The Tribal Chief and also for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The Tribal Combat match set for SummerSlam will likely see the final chapter in The Bloodline’s storyline. The match is expected to unravel stupendous things.
