The Cenation Leader, John Cena is one of the most popular superstars in WWE history. He has worked with numerous talents in his career and there have been a lot of incidents where he has won millions of hearts with his gesture.

However, recently, wrestling veteran, Dutch Mantell, talked about how Cena used to complain backstage when he used to get paired with undesirable stars.

Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, Mantell revealed that back in the day, if Cena would not like to work with anyone, he used to complain about it backstage. Although Dutch didn’t name any specific wrestler, he also added that the 46-year-old used to make last-minute changes if he was paired with any undesirable superstar.

I don’t know anybody specifically, but if he didn’t want to work on TV against whoever, he would complain and moan. He was concerned with one thing, and I don’t blame him. This is not a knock on John. If they worked it out before Cena got on the scene, well, he’s gonna change it all. He didn’t like this. He didn’t like that.

Cena has been the face of the Stamford-based company from 2006 to 2016. He has been a part of some spectacular storylines throughout his career. This new revelation by Mantell is controversial to some extent. However, there is no name that Dutch has revealed. The words from Mantell have presented a polar opposite side of the Cenation Leader in front of his fans.

Besides, Cena also announced his OnlyFans account recently. The Viper, Randy Orton also expressed his wish to collaborate with Cena on the platform. It is going to be interesting to see if Cena will ever break his silence on this shocking revelation by Dutch Mantell.

John Cena’s backstage politics also ruined Alex Riley’s career

John Cena has been a huge star in WWE. He is known to push young talents, like he did in his recent run. He tussled with stars like Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, and Jimmy Uso on his last visit to the company. However, this was not always the case, as revealed by Mantell on his podcast.

Mantell revealed that Cena didn’t like Alex Riley. Therefore, he went to vent about it to Vince McMahon. WWE then made Riley a lackluster star and even stopped pushing him. However, Mantell didn’t take full responsibility for the information.

Cena didn't like Alex Riley. So he probably just went and poured his heart out to Vince. Well, we can fix that, they didn't tell Riley nothing and just stopped pushing him. I don't know if it's true, but Alex Riley, we'll never know if it's true or not. But his thesis on it, or his final thought on it is probably true because I've seen it done and it was probably done in this case.

Alex Riley was introduced as The Miz‘s lackey during his rivalry with John Cena at WrestleMania 27, he then had a face turn as well. However, the young star was released by WWE in 2016. Riley gained much popularity after his breakup with The Miz. The release of Riley affected the latter big time, and it also led to Cena and The Miz developing some real-life heat.
