Sixteen-time World Champion John Cena was the face of WWE’s Ruthless Aggression and PG Era. Another superstar who featured prominently as a top talent was Rey Mysterio. The legendary pair briefly feuded during their initial run in the Stamford-based promotion. They are now legends of the industry and share a mutual respect, as evident from their most recent interaction.
After the latest edition of SmackDown went off-air, John Cena and Rey Mysterio shared a wholesome moment. This occurred when the latter was entering for a dark match. The Franchise Player met up with the masked Luchador, shaking hands with him before embracing him. Furthermore, Cena raised Mysterio’s hand while the second-generation wrestler gestured the “You Can’t See Me” taunt.
All in all, it was a cool experience for the live crowd in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Cenation Leader opened the show and once again put over The Megastar, LA Knight. In the main event, John Cena helped even the odds after Jimmy Uso tried to intervene during Knight’s match against Solo Sikoa.
Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio appeared on screen shortly, checking in on Carlito, who was brutally attacked by Bobby Lashley and Street Profits. Needless to say, both superstars are still major attractions in the sport to this day. Also, both have featured prominently in major storylines in the WWE.

Possible opponents for John Cena at Crown Jewel
John Cena is currently being advertised to appear at the upcoming November 4 premium live event, Crown Jewel. Despite his run being scheduled to end before the event, it seems that he will be competing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As of now, there is no outright favorite opponent to take on the Franchise Player.
Surprisingly, the promotional poster for Crown Jewel advertises Logan Paul. The former is a possible candidate to face John Cena at the premium live event. Without a doubt, this is a bout that has high-caliber written all over it. Therefore, WWE wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger on it, given both men’s schedules.
Another name that has emerged as his potential opponent is Solo Sikoa. As many might know, the Cenation Leader has been feuding with The Bloodline ever since his return to the WWE. Also, backstage officials have reportedly discussed a match to occur between the two at next year’s Royal Rumble. Therefore, the planned match may end up occurring earlier if the SAG-AFTRA strike ends earlier than expected.
