The trafficking allegations leveled against Vince McMahon shocked the wrestling community. Subsequently, the lawsuit led to the TKO chairman resigning from all of his roles in the company. Since then, wrestling stars and personalities have voiced their opinions on the vile accusations. Recently, John Cena broke his silence on the matter.

The sixteen-time World Champion appeared on the Howard Stern Show, where the host brought up the allegations. Cena stated that listening to the matter is more complicated than speaking about it. While he’s always been open to love and friendship, he’s also an advocate for accountability. At the moment, The Cenation Leader claimed he’s going to continue to “love” McMahon and show his support for him while he has a “hill to climb.”

Right now, I’m gonna love the person I love, be their friend. 'I love you, you have a hill to climb.' There is the saying of, 'You don’t know who your friends are until shit hits the fan or your back is against the wall.' That doesn't make any of what's going on any easier to swallow. Just telling someone you love them, it’s a hill to climb, and we’ll see what happens.'

The Franchise Player further mentioned that he realizes the severity of the accusations, referring to them as “unfortunate.” As expected, John Cena’s comments were met with polarizing opinions online. However, the wrestling legend has always been an advocate of loyalty, which he showed in the interview.

Moreover, Cena has previously mentioned that his successful career wouldn’t have been possible without Vince McMahon. The 46-year-old last appeared on WWE programming at Crown Jewel, where he suffered a devastating loss against Solo Sikoa. Despite teasing retirement, Cena later confirmed that he would return to the squared circle.

Will John Cena compete at WrestleMania 40?

John Cena’s crushing loss at Crown Jewel extended his abysmal singles competition losing streak. The Franchise Player has now gone almost six years without a win. As WWE prepared for its biggest annual event, WrestleMania, fans speculated whether Cena would be a part of the 40th edition or not.

In addition to that, the WWE Universe is awaiting The Cenation Leader’s next challenge as his wrestling career nears its poignant end. Many believe that one of Cena’s biggest rivals and real-life friend, Randy Orton, could be his WrestleMania opponent. Meanwhile, he could plot his revenge against Sikoa by helping Cody Rhodes in his rivalry against The Bloodline.

It seems unlikely that the 46-year-old will compete at the Showcase of Immortals. However, fans cannot rule out a special appearance by Cena at the show. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see whether the legend graces the fans with his presence on the Road to WrestleMania.
