This John Cena anniversary special will also serve as the go-home episode of the red brand for the upcoming Money in the Bank premium-live-event. Cena last wrestled a match in WWE months ago dating back to last year’s summer in August where he faced Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship but in a losing cause.

But now with John Cena finally returning once again, the whole WWE Universe is elated to see their hero back where he actually belongs and that’s inside of a WWE ring. The John Cena impact has already started to transcend it’s showers as there have been a huge surge in the ticket sales for the show Cena’s announced for.

According to the latest estimates of WrestleTix on Twitter, the June 27th WWE Raw : John Cena Anniversary Celebration Special has moved 2,468 tickets since Cena got announced for this show. Prior to this announcement, the show was struggling to sell tickets big time. Currently, the maximum opened capacity of the Sames Auto Arena where this show is due to be held is at 6,844 seats out of which 6,194 tickets have already been sold-out, only 650 tickets remain at the moment as of writing.

This clearly shows that fans have manifested their excitement for the show and have grabbed more tickets ever since Cena got official for this show. With this being said, John Cena remains to be one of the biggest box-office draws in this industry.

Also, taking a small backstep down the memory lane of last year’s summer when John Cena returned to WWE at Money in the Bank, WWE saw the absolute business spark in that opportunity as they announced a complete “Summer of Cena” tour pre-annoucing all the dates John Cena would work in the near future so as to maximize on the profit of getting more ticket buys. Unsurprisingly they got a massive boost up in the ticket sales for those upcoming shows Cena was announced for.

Several reports also stated that WWE sees a ‘young’ John Cena in Theory and they want to make sure that he is being pushed to the moon so as to establish him as one of their bigger guys for the future and having a feud with John Cena will definitely help Theory catapulting his till now short but already clicking journey.

The two men are highly likely to face each other in a match at this year’s Summerslam which could be for the United States Championship as Cena also holds a special place for that Title in his heart Or we can also say that John Cena was the one who elevated the prestige of this title by giving fans probably the greatest US title run when he was the champion back in 2015.

The John Cena United States Championship open challenge provided the WWE Universe some of the best matches of 2015 in the likes of Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Big E just to name a few. He used the United States Championship in order to introduce newer stars to the WWE Universe.
