Over the past couple of days, John Cena has confirmed his availability for WrestleMania 40. After recently claiming that he’d prefer jorts over a three-piece suit, Cena has now reacted to a theory that involves Dwayne Johnson. The Cenation Leader was there on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon promoting his movie, Ricky Stanicky. However, the 16-time World Champion was asked whether he’s stepping into the ring with The Rock at WrestleMania 40.

That stemmed from an Instagram post that Cena made public hours ago. As it has been his modus operandi, he didn’t attach a caption to a photo where He-Man could be seen waging war against Fisto. The show’s host, Fallon, said he loved the former but couldn’t decipher its counterpart. After a quick exchange with Cena over Fisto’s identity, Fallon got to the business end.

He said that people are speculating that the Peacemaker star alluded to a potential run-in with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at WrestleMania with the said post. John acted as if he had shot a dose of adrenaline pumping through his body.

However, the 47-year-old asked the fans to wait until it happens, as he doesn’t know if it’s on the cards. That sucked the wind out of everyone, as Cena acknowledged. However, before bowing out, the Franchise Player teased that maybe the fans wouldn’t see him at WrestleMania. That seems pretty obvious now, given that one caught the joke.

WWE’s plot for Cody Rhodes’ story with Roman Reigns will have its bumps. And John Cena may have a role to play in it. A lot of fans believe that the wrestler-turned-actor could be the reason why Cody finally gets his own back on the Roman Reigns-led Bloodline.

Albeit Rhodes has Seth Rollins as the proverbial shield, his recent promo on Raw has engendered cynicism among the fans. They found The Visionary’s nuances as if he were up to something down the road. With this conspiracy floating around, Cody Rhodes might be in a dire state.

Having said that, it’s imperative for him to ensemble his Avengers, with John Cena being Captain America. Speaking of drawing parallels between WWE and the MCU, Rhodes taking down Reigns, who seems to be the indestructible Thanos, would need all these fictional characters to play their part.
