John Cena is one of the biggest WWE Superstars on the planet. He is a certified legend and a Hollywood actor and has the moniker G.O.A.T. attached to his name. Cena has always openly admitted his love for the WWE. The 16-time WWE Champion always returns to the Stamford-based company whenever an opportunity strikes. His recent run to the company last year was the longest one in recent times.
The 46-year-old Superstar recently appeared on the Chris Van Vliet YouTube channel and addressed his legacy and the future. The Champ stated how there is no stress and expectations from him in the WWE. Moreover, the Face That Runs the Place added how Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Seth “Freakin” Rollins are pulling the cart now and the veteran Superstar just enjoys being on the show.

I have a lot of stress off of my shoulders because when you're one of the pieces of the machine that is responsible for the financial well-being and you fail, the bottom line is directly affected!John Cena on current faces of the WWE
Furthermore, the Hustle Loyalty & Respect Soldier added how relieved he is now while wrestling in the WWE. He recalled being in the shoes of the current faces of the WWE while DX, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels’ faction was having fun. Cena recalled how Hunter asked him to manage the show and said his time would come in the future.
In his last run in the WWE, The Franchise Leader shared the ring with a handful of members. John faced off against the likes of Cody Rhodes, AJ Styles, LA Knight, and more. The major showdown was with The Bloodline’s Special Enforcer, Solo Sikoa. Cena’s singles contest losing streak continued after getting defeated by Sikoa at Crown Jewel in October last year.
John Cena teases another World Title reign happening in the future
At Royal Rumble 2017, John Cena defeated AJ Styles to tie the record with WWE legend Ric Flair for 16 World Title reigns. Since then, Cena has repeatedly tried to capture his 17th World Title. The Prototype always came up short in his attempt by both participating in the Royal Rumble Match and losing to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021.

In the aforementioned interview, Cena gave an intriguing answer upon being asked about his favorite World Title run. The Doctor of Thuganomics stated “My next one” as his best title run. This tease by the 5-time United States Champion has sparked buzz about Cena possibly returning to challenge either the World Heavyweight Title or the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.
WrestleMania XL is less than a month away and reports suggest Cena’s appearance is somewhat likely at the biggest PLE of the year. Last year, Cena failed to capture his 6th United States Title against Austin Theory. It will be interesting to witness The Cenation Leader return to the WWE and possibly create history by becoming the first-ever 17-time World Champion.
