WWE superstar John Cena is poignantly drawing closer to retiring from the WWE. Currently, the Franchise Player is enjoying himself in his most recent run. Recently, Cena spoke about his future plans in the promotion and what he thinks is an appropriate way to say “goodbye” to professional wrestling.
During an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, the Cenation Leader confidently stated that he’s not done with wrestling yet. However, the 16-time World Champion stated that he is fighting the ticking clock. Furthermore, John Cena showed his gratitude towards the fans for allowing him to compete in the ring for such a long time. He revealed an alarming concern about his career, which seemingly prevents him from retiring.
“A lot of times we go away and we don’t get a chance to say a proper like ‘hey, thanks for allowing me to do this for so long’. I don’t exist without the audience, and I’m just really grateful for every single second. It’s why I can’t talk trash about anybody,” he said. Therefore, Cena is not looking forward to retiring without a proper farewell for the audience.
It goes without saying that the legend is on one of the final extended runs of his career. As a result, the WWE Universe will look to cherish every single moment that comes during it. John Cena will compete in his first match since WrestleMania 39 at the upcoming premium live event, Fastlane.

John Cena might face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed plans for John Cena’s match at the November premium live event. According to Meltzer, the Cenation Leader might face the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, at Crown Jewel. “So it feels like maybe Saudi Arabia is Roman Reigns against John Cena,” he said.
Obviously, John Cena is currently feuding against The Bloodline, with a tag team match set for Fastlane against the duo of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Therefore, it might lead to a potential match between the Cenation Leader and The Tribal Chief. Interestingly, if the supposed bout at Crown Jewel does occur, it will mark the trilogy between John Cena and Roman Reigns.
