John Cena is very quick and expressive when it comes to reacting to big controversies happening in the WWE ring during his run in the same. He also held himself back whenever he felt the need to speak up. One superstar disclosed the same in a recent interview. 

It was no other than the former WWE superstar JTG. JTG was most known for his run in the company as a tag team along with Shad Gaspard. The two formed a tag team under the name Cryme Time but couldn’t win a tag team championship on the main roster.

The team was disbanded in 2010 and also started facing each other in the ring. However, they were liked by the audience as a team as a result of which, they reunited 4 years later. JTG and Gaspard were the team that caused lots of havoc in the company.

JTG recalled one of his most memorable matches of their career where the Cryme Time was involved in a feud with Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. He was on the ringside and made it to the ring before the referee could count out. But the referee counted the ninth and tenth suddenly and thus the Cryme Tyme lost the match.

This angered the WWE Superstars and Shad took it on the referee. “I joined in on it, and then Chad took it a little bit too far. He took the ref’s belt off and auctioned it to the crowd. We were selling characters but we were off script,” said JTG. 

A lot of people condemned their act. Their manager Barry Windham chastised them. “After that we got ridiculed by John Cena in front of the locker room. And then on the ride to the next show to RAW we got a good tongue lashing from John Laurinaitis and then the next day we were fired,” recalled JTG.

Shad Gaspard is no more among us. He lost his life while saving his drowning son. He was still in in-ring action until the water current took him away. For his contribution to the society and his act of bravery outside the ring, he was honoured with the WWE Hall Of Fame Warrier Award.
