Crown Jewel 2023 saw the decimation of John Cena at the hands of Solo Sikoa. The brutal match had a devastating ending after Sikoa picked up a huge win against the Cenation Leader. Following the events of Crown Jewel, John Cena posted a cryptic post on Instagram, hinting at a possible retirement from professional wrestling.
Moments after suffering a huge loss against Solo Sikoa, John Cena took the liberty to post a picture of David Beckham on his Instagram. For context, the picture is from the last match David Beckham played as part of PSG on May 18, 2013. Therefore, the internet is concluding that John Cena might be hinting at retirement.
John Cena promised the WWE Universe to win his match against Solo Sikoa. The 16-time World Champion has not won a singles televised match in WWE since 2018, which is heavily affecting his morale. Despite all attempts, John Cena suffered a loss against The Bloodline member at Crown Jewel. Following that he teased about his potential retirement.
John Cena was saddened after losing another match in the company at Crown Jewel. He posted a picture of David Beckham’s retirement with PSG. As a result, fans have been speculating that the Cenation Leader teased his potential retirement through his Instagram post.
John Cena believes he is no longer the greatest of all time
John Cena is one of the greatest superstars of all time. Recently, he suffered a big loss at the hands of Solo Sikoa. After suffering the loss, John Cena hinted towards a potential retirement. However, this was not the first time John Cena had put a superstar over him. In his recent appearance on the After the Bell podcast, he named Roman Reigns the greatest superstar of all time.

John Cena referred to Roman Reigns’ time during the pandemic. He talked about how the Tribal Chief went on to the next level in his performance.
"When the crowd wasn't there [during the pandemic], ... Roman could be himself," Cena continued. "Night after night, he becomes this extremely nuanced, soft-spoken character, ... and as soon as they bring people back in, he had done such riveting programming that it's like, 'Man, now I want to see this guy.'
