John Cena has come across almost all the biggest superstars throughout his WWE career. Without a doubt, one of his greatest rivals is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The “Once In A Lifetime” feud that took place at WrestleMania 28 led to real-life animosity between the legends. Recently, John Cena spoke about how his interaction with The Rock backstage panned out.
The Great One made an electrifying return on SmackDown during the September 15 edition of the show. Furthermore, he met with the Cenation Leader backstage in what was a wholesome moment for the WWE Universe. While appearing on The Bump, John Cena revealed that besides the on-screen embrace with The Rock, he had a personal conversation with his friend.
The 16-time World Champion revealed that he came to a poignant realization. According to him, the way he conducted business during his rivalry with The Brahma Bull was a professional mistake on his part. Moreover, he has since publicly apologized to The Rock and said that the feud that they had on screen was great business.
“It was good to see him and reconnect after all this time. That was the first time we’d seen each other since I publicly apologized for that, and I just wanted to make sure he heard that face-to-face again. It’s just good to see a friend,” Cena added. Evidently, the legendary pair were elated to see each other, burying their past differences in the process as well.

John Cena will look to put an end to his five-year streak at Fastlane
John Cena is scheduled to compete for the first time since WrestleMania 39 at the upcoming premium live event, Fastlane. He will team up with LA Knight to square off against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Moreover, the Cenation Leader will look to break a five-year losing streak at PLEs.
Over the last few years, John Cena has wrestled against Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, and Austin Theory, losing all three high-profile battles. In fact, his last win came in a tag team match, teaming with Bobby Lashley to defeat the duo of Kevin Owens and Elias at Super ShowDown in 2018.
Needless to say, this is a shocking record for a superstar of the caliber of John Cena. However, this may stem from his decision to use his remaining years in wrestling to put over future talent. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether the future HOF’er prolongs his losing streak at Fastlane.
