In a year full of surprises, WWE is set to end 2022 with a banger. The last edition of Friday Night Smackdown of 2022 will feature a hard-hitting tag team match after an already announced appearance of John Cena. But that’s not the surprise ending up. Roman Reigns appeared on the latest edition of Smackdown and wanted to get rid of the ‘KO’ problem he’s had for the past few months.

This was when the Tribal Chief summoned WWE official Adam Pearce to his room. While the WWE official has had a lot of problems on Monday Night Raw the past few weeks, getting over with the Bloodline was a moment of anxiety. With their last meet a year ago, the Bloodline unleashed their wrath of Pearce.

But this it wasn’t action. Reigns wanted a tag team match partnering with Sami Zayn against Kevin Owens and a partner of the Prizefighter’s choosing. This was when the December 30th edition of Friday Night Smackdown was confirmed as the stage to showcase the glorious battle.

The Bloodline came out in the main event of Smackdown addressing the match announced. Reigns had previously planned to give Sami Zayn the name of ‘Sami Uso’ officially, but his mind changed. Little to anyone’s knowledge, the world was curiously questioning who could be Owens’ partner.

A video package from 16-time world champion John Cena then surfaced on the screen. The Peacemaker came to give a gift to the fans since it was Holiday season. But the gist was unexpected for millions. Cena announced himself as the tag team partner for Owens and shocked the world.

With all set, Tampa, Florida will host the December 30th edition of Smackdown. And the show will feature a fantastic battle feature Kevin Owens partnering with John Cena to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.

While Cena’s announcement was a treat to the fans, a record would’ve broken if the 16-time world champion didn’t make the announcement. For the past 20 years, John Cena has wrestled atleast one match every year. But 2022 didn’t feature the franchise player’s in-ring capabilities.

What better day it would’ve been other than the last WWE event of 2022. With a high-stakes match scheduled, it will be interesting to see how things play out the next two weeks. But John Cena’s run in WWE won’t pause here.

Cena is rumored to be present in the Men’s Royal Rumble match and will reportedly be eliminated by Logan Paul. This will be an opportunity to showcase a one-time battle between both men at the Grandest Stage of them All, WrestleMania 39.
