John Cena made his triumphant return on SmackDown, where the promotion announced him as the host of Payback. On the show, Cena made his iconic entrance and received a warm reception from the Pittsburgh crowd. However, a moment that caught the spotlight was the announcement of the Cenation Leader.

Announcer Mike Rome unexpectedly announced John Cena as the “Greatest of All Time”. As a result, it took Cena by surprise and therefore had a wholesome reaction. The 16-time World Champion was all smiles as he looked astonished. Cena then did his all-time tradition of raising his arms in the air to soak up the crowd’s energy.

John Cena announced himself as the special guest referee for the match between LA Knight and The Miz.
The A-Lister cut Cena’s interaction with the crowd short, deciding to teach John how to be a good host of the show. After a heated exchange of words, Cena stuck to his decision to be the referee, which infuriated Miz.

Later, John Cena also took the courtesy to use the catchphrase of LA Knight, before the Megastar made his grand entrance. However, John Cena’s wholesome reaction to being called the G.O.A.T was a treat for the fans. Watch the video here.

The Miz took some shots at Cena before his match. However, the fan-favorite had the upper hand. John Cena is indeed one of the Greatest of All Time in WWE. His presence kicks off the nostalgia ride as soon as the iconic theme song hits. Therefore, calling him the Greatest of All Time by Mike Rome is appropriate at this point.

John Cena made his triumphant return to WWE on last week’s episode of SmackDown. However, in a recent interview after his return, John talked about his retirement from WWE. He said that he did not have much fuel left in his tank and that he was in the final days of his pro wrestling career.

In an interview with Cathy Kelly backstage, the Cenation Leader said, “As I said out there in the ring, the last one is not tonight, but I know it’s soon.” This statement has drenched the hearts of the members of the WWE Universe. He talked about his age as well, saying, “I’m 46 and staring down 47.”

John Cena is now in his Hollywood endeavors along with entrepreneurial activities. Cena has become a part-timer in recent years due to his busy schedule. However, the Franchise Player is back for another two months. It will be interesting to see what’s in store for the WWE legend.
