“I hate that place,” John Morrison blasts WWE and is glad that AEW is an option

John Morrison is one of the most athletic wrestlers in WWE history. During his last run in WWE, he partnered with another WWE superstar, The Miz, inside the ring. John Morrison has had a lot of success in wrestling and just won his first boxing battle as well.
Morrison may want to keep his feet in the boxing pool, according to a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour,” as wrestling is going through a difficult hiring phase. “I hate that place,” Morrison remarked in response to a question regarding the new WWE-UFC merger, expecting layoffs and salary cuts.
“I despise that place, but if they called, I’d go back,” Morrison said. When asked why he “hates” WWE, he says “My experience as landing my ideal job, only to see me doing the things that I dreamed of doing, but it’s a bastardized version of what I want to do.” Morrison quickly corrects himself, stating that he exaggerated his dislike for WWE.
“I try not to burn any bridges,” Morrison says. “I really like the roster there.” He adores the individuals that work there. He states that “I admire all of the brilliant minds in professional wrestling. Hopefully, they’re honest [about his plans], and if I don’t like it, I won’t go, and if I like it, I will.”
John Morrison also revealed he’s talked with AEW, since not only is his wife Taya Valkyrie connected to the promotion, but so are many of his pals, including Rey Fenix, who was a groomsman in his wedding, and Jake Hager, who was in his walkout posse before his boxing debut.
John Morrison’s Statements after His Boxing Match
After winning his first boxing match, he made many controversial statements against huge WWE superstars like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Morrison finally stepped into the boxing ring, defeating Harley Morenstein in the 3rd round via TKO. After his fight, John Morrison appeared on MMA Hour. He remarked many WWE superstars couldn’t win a real fight inside the ring.
He also mocked CM Punk, who is currently a wrestler in AEW and lost two fights back to back in UFC. Not only this, John Morrison called out KSI on that podcast for some in-ring action. Morrison became a free agent in 2021. He also made a few appearances in AEW fighting against Samoa Joe.
