The DIY reunion is what the fans were waiting for, and it has finally happened. Last night on Monday Night Raw, Johnny Gargano marked his WWE return after a long halt. In the main event, Gunther defended his Intercontinental Championship against Tommaso Ciampa.

Despite the spark in Ciampa’s eyes, he went down to the Ring General. However, the former NXT Champion did put up a valiant fight before passing out to Gunther’s sleeper. After the match, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium continued their assault on an already laid-out Ciampa.

Johnny Gargano rushed to assist Tommaso Ciampa against Imperium, setting up a potential reunion of the former DIY members. However, the segment cut short due to time constraints, left fans eager for more.

WWE has released an official video of what went down. The DIY is seemingly back, and they shoved off Imperium in tandem. That said, Tommaso Ciampa has finally got what he’s been craving for, and that’s Johnny Gargano by his side. This should be the beginning of the glory days for one of the most decorated tag teams NXT has ever produced.

Although Gargano’s return was great, it felt bittersweet to some fans. The major complaint was regarding the subjugation of his original theme song, Rebel Heart. It was something that separated him from the bunch and WWE remixed the track once Johnny Wrestling was still new to the main roster. Just like Ciampa got his NXT theme song back, fans are gunning for the same for Gargano as well.

Are Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa teaming up at Fastlane?

Well, the way Monday Night Raw ended makes one think that Triple H has some big plans for DIY. After all, they took out Gunther‘s Imperium, a force to be reckoned with on Monday nights. Seemingly, the Intercontinental Title match was supposed to happen at Fastlane.
