“John Cena vs Jon Moxley CONFIRMED” Twitter erupts after Jon Moxley uses WWE Legends’ line in his promo
Jon Moxley aka Dean Ambrose has always been one of the most entertaining and intimidating wrestlers of all time. While Ambrose had bid farewell to WWE in 2018 after citing creative differences with the company he returned as Jon Moxley in AEW and has been a vital wrestler for the rival promotion. AEW never misses a chance to poke their rival promotion either the superstars do this through their promos or present a challenge to WWE with the ratings race.
But now a rumour has gone wild amongst the fans of the companies that has once again ignited the rivalry between the two companies. And it seems that this time the rivalry will be settled out in the ring itself. And the match that fans are eyeing for is none other than Jon Moxley vs WWE veteran John Cena. Yes, what you are reading might seem like a dream match to you but what if this match could happen and happen sooner than you expect.
Jon Moxley sparks match rumours with John Cena after using his catchphrase
Well at least Twitter thinks so because the fans went crazy after Jon Moxley allegedly cut a promo after his epic title clash against CM Punk at AEW Dynamite in which he allegedly spoke Cena’s catch phrase. While Moxley defeated Punk in a squash match to unify AEW World Titles, he cut a promo backstage that has caught the attention of fans around the world. Moxley said- “My Time is Now” in his promo which is a popular catchphrase of WWE Legend John Cena.
Though this can be just another way of poking from Moxley, which AEW does from time to time. But Twitter users take on the promo is far different. Fans on Twitter claimed that Cena can show up at the next AEW show “All In” and could potentially face Moxley. Though the assumption seems far fetched and with Cena being a loyal employee for WWE, his AEW debut seems unlikely.
But Twitter fans can’t seem to keep their calm as they have already announced on the micro blogging website that John Cena will make a debut on the rival promotion. Well if that happens it will be the biggest crossover in the history of pro wrestling. But owing to Cena’s ties with WWE it highly seems a far fetched statement to be honest.
Also Cena’s busy schedule with Hollywood which has barred him from making appearances at his first home WWE is unlikely to give him a relief to show up on the rival promotion. But however, with a new management in charge of WWE, we can expect anything and everything. Here are some interesting tweets regarding the whole situation –
