Karl Anderson is currently a crucial member of both the WWE and NJPW rosters. In both companies, he plays an important role; in WWE, he is a member of The O.C., and is involved in a blood feud with The Judgment Day. While in NJPW, he is the NEVER Openweight Champion.
Karl Anderson won the title in June but left for WWE in October, leaving him in limbo between the two companies. Anderson was originally scheduled to defend his title at a NJPW show, but pulled out as he traveled to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. Despite pulling out of his commitment, he has not forfeited the NEVER Openweight Championship to NJPW.
Karl Anderson has stated he will not relinquish the championship, and has since confirmed his return to NJPW in a recent Instagram post. Karl revealed he will return as champion and defend the title before the year ends.
Andreson also disclosed the date, revealing that the Good Brothers will return to New Japan Pro Wrestling on December 14. The tournament for the World Super Junior Tag League finals, which includes the Good Brothers, will take place on this day.
Karl Anderson to have AJ Styles’ back at Survivor Series: WarGames
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows surprised everyone when they returned to WWE, reuniting with their buddy, AJ Styles. Although The O.C. lost their big match against The Judgement Day at Crown Jewel, there is still a shot to even things up.
The O.C.’s AJ Styles will face The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor in a final, high-stakes encounter at Survivor Series. Both factions will be at full strength to back their respective faction leaders. And for the first time in a while, Rhea Ripley will not be the X-factor, as there is Mia Yim aka Michin with The O.C. to square up to the ‘Mami!’
Although Mia Yim and Rhea Ripley will have time to fight it out. They will also compete in the first-ever Women’s WarGames match on the main roster. And with two WarGames matches under her belt, Ripley knows a thing or two more about inflicting damage inside the double-caged structure.
