It seems that WWE under Triple H can’t seem to get less exciting when it comes to unexpected returns. Earlier at Summerslam, we saw the return of the likes of Edge, Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY and this Monday Night Raw it was confirmed that WWE is also in talks with Sasha Banks and Naomi to bring them back. And just when everyone thought it couldn’t get more interesting, rumors of Karrion Kross returning back to Smackdown spread like a wildfire.
And guess what the former NXT Champion has made it back to Smackdown making a statement that he is here to make it big. The company under Triple H’s creative direction is continuously pulling out surprises after one another. While there were reports that WWE is working on negotiating with the released superstars, it now seems indeed true as Kross who was released in November made his return on Smackdown tonight.

Twitter can’t keep calm as Karrion Kross makes a shocking return to Smackdown
Drew McIntyre was making his way to the ring to confront the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns before the lights faded and Scarlett Bordeaux stood at the entrance ramp as a confused McIntyre tried to process what was happening. But before McIntyre would make anything out of it he was ambushed by Kross into the steel steps and viciously attacked him.
Following the assault, Kross stared down at the champion indicating that he is coming after Reigns, thus making a huge statement upon his return. As Smackdown went off the air with this, Twitter users were not able to keep their calm after the former NXT star’s return. Many fans looked shocked and excited at the same time but were quick to point out that Kross shouldn’t be the one to beat The Tribal Chief.
Some noted that WWE might ruin the current storyline between Drew and Roman by inserting Kross into the equation but only time will tell how things will unfold between these three. Drew is scheduled to face Reigns at Clash of Castle in September but with Kross making a statement it would be interesting to see how things will turn out.
