LA Knight has everyone’s attention at the moment. Quite recently, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash’s comments over the self-proclaimed Megastar were in the limelight. Nash disregarded Knight and termed him an absolute rip-off of The Rock. As soon as these lines reached the masses, they started firing back at the WCW icon. However, the 64-year-old has now come up with a completely different opinion of LA Knight.

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash addressed his previous comments on Knight. He admitted not seeing much of the SmackDown star. Also, he was not cognizant of his run as Eli Drake in Impact Wrestling. As a result, he dug up some of his older clips. The former nWo member reached the conclusion that Knight could really go well.

Kevin Nash has openly admitted that he doesn’t watch SmackDown. Being always a Red Brand guy, the former WWF Champion skips going through the blue brand. And quite evidently, he didn’t see LA Knight‘s work out there. For good measure, his blunt take on Knight massively blew out of proportion.

Given that Big Daddy Cool has studied the 40-year-old, he issued an apology as well. It appears like Nash is inching towards joining the LA Knight movement. After Nash’s initial criticisms of Knight, many veterans stepped up to defend the 1-time Million Dollar Champion.

WWE still views LA Knight in a bizarre manner

Despite getting monstrous crowd reactions each week, WWE believes that LA Knight is still a heel. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the former Eli Drake is listed as a bad guy on WWE’s official roster listings. However, everyone, including WWE reps, is aware of Knight’s exponentially growing popularity.

And just maybe, there’s a push lined up for him. On this week’s SmackDown, he’ll battle Sheamus, Rey Mysterio and Cameron Grimes in a Fatal 4-way US Title Invitational match. The winner of that match will advance to face Santos Escobar, who won his own match last week. After that, a No. 1 contender would be determined for Austin Theory‘s US title.

Fans are already manifesting for LA Knight to win the whole thing and dethrone Theory. It’s the easiest decision WWE can make as far as creative duties are concerned. Knight is insanely popular right now, and it would be a huge mistake to let him cool down. Many fans believe that Knight should be the World Champion some day in WWE, however, that seems distant at this juncture.
