Kevin Owens has had some of the most memorable WrestleMania moments in recent years. He has been in WWE for a long time but has reached his true potential only in the last few years. In an interview, Owens talks about his previous two WrestleMania matches and which one is more special than the other.

In 2021, Kevin Owens ironically fought his now-tag team partner, Sami Zayn, in a grudge fight. The following year, the entire wrestling industry was shocked when Stone Cold Steve Austin came out of retirement after 19 years to fight Owens in a battle in the main event of WrestleMania 38. When everyone thought that was the peak of his career, Owens teamed up with Sami Zayn to defeat The Usos in the first-ever main event to feature Tag Teams.

While talking to Spencer Love, the Tag Team Champions compared the experiences from Mania 38 and 39. Owens revealed that he hates comparing or describing the two, as both nights have great importance in his life. However, if one of the matches has to be named as more iconic, it would be with Steve Austin.

He said, “But, I guess if one takes the absolute cake, and it just edges out the other one by very little, I think it’s still more unbelievable to me that I wrestled Stone Cold Steve Austin, 19 years after his last match, in the main event of WrestleMania.”

The 39-year-old also said that the last two years have been unbelievable. Owens also revealed that he is grateful for his career in WWE. He considers himself lucky to be the one who wrestled Steve Austin after 19 years.

After months of buildup and teasing, Sami Zayn finally turned on Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble. The two had a high-voltage match in Sami Zayn’s hometown of Montreal at Elimination Chamber. Unfortunately, the hometown hero could not get a victory that day due to outside interference.

Kevin Owens, who also comes from Montreal, Canada, did not have a match on the Elimination Chamber card. However, he appeared in the main event when he helped Zayn even the odds against The Bloodline. In the interview, Owens said that he would have loved to have a match in front of his home crowd, but WWE management did not feel the same way.

He also said that the Canadian crowd is very lovely, as they cheer for anyone who is from Canada. According to Owens, it does not matter whether you are from Winnipeg, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, or anywhere else. He added that he was happy to see Zayn finally get his dues after years of hard work.
