Kevin Owens is arguably one of the biggest stars in WWE at the moment. He has done almost everything that can be done in WWE. When asked if Owens would be interested in another run as an Intercontinental champion, the Tag Team Champion rejected the idea.

While talking to Spencer Love, Kevin Owens revealed that he grew up watching the former IC Champion, Owen Hart. Owens also added that Hart was a two-time champion. Kevin Owens also won the title twice at this point in his career. Owens added that he would love to keep the similarity. This is because he has always considered Owen Hart an idol and admired his wrestling career.

The former Universal Champion added, “All I knew was Owen was the valiant younger brother who tried to stop his older brother from cheating. I immediately latched onto Owen, like, ‘He’s just like me. Bret’s like my big brother.” Owens also revealed that as he grew up, he also started to appreciate how good Owen was as an in-ring competitor and a storyteller.

Owens revealed that the first WWE event he watched was WrestleMania 11. The event was headlined by a great match between Owen Hart and Bret Hart. He revealed that he would instantly get connected to the younger Hart. The reason is that Kevin Owens also had an elder brother just like Owen and found their story resembling his own.

Since winning the Championships at WrestleMania, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been defending the titles against multiple teams. As they are the Raw and SmackDown Champions, Owens and Zayn defend the titles on both shows. However, it is being reported that Triple H might have a new feud brewing for the champions.

Tomasso Ciampa recently made his return to Raw after months of inactivity due to an injury. It is rumored that Ciampa is set to reunite with his long-time friend Johnny Gargano on the red brand and re-form their tag team, DIY. The team was one of the most popular acts on NXT and it can be expected that they do the same on the main roster.

The feud is likely to play out at SummerSlam, as that is the next PLE WWE has ahead of them. No matches have been announced for the show as of now. But WWE will be looking to go big for the “Biggest Party of The Summer.”
