“It was like Godzilla vs King Kong” When two biggest giants of WWE got into a REAL backstage fight

It’s not new for WWE wrestlers to engage in altercations backstage. Though they play a character on-screen and are performers, issues can arise between them leading to confronting each other.

Though most of these altercations are verbal but there have been a considerable amount of incidents where Wrestlers have even got physical with each other backstage. When two superstars collide like this generally the locker room is there to prevent such things from happening and try to stop the fight.

Former WWE Star Chris Jericho recalls a Real Backstage fight between Big Show and The Great Khali

Big Show and Khali WWE
WWE stars Big and Khali in a real backstage fight at a WWE live event. The two stars have since then gone on to become great friends.

But, what would really happen if two of the biggest men in the pro-wrestling industry start fighting backstage. Would anyone dare to interfere? The answer is simply No. Who would try to separate a Godzilla and King Kong fighting with each other.

This is what exactly happened when two giants from WWE got into a real backstage fight with each other. The Indian Giant The Great Khali and World’s Largest Athlete Big Show got into a real backstage fight after a live show.

Chris Jericho who was one of the men present at the backstage and had witnessed the incident live considered it worthy of his Autobiography- “The Best n The World: At What I Have No Idea.”

Jericho wrote that they were in Puerto Rico for a WWE live event where Taker and Khali were scheduled to wrestle Big Show and Jericho. During the match Khali would go on to use Big Show’s infamous chest chop even after Big Show had refused him to do so.

Jericho writes- “Motherf***er just stole my move,’ Show mumbled on the apron, and I knew something was gonna go down. He was mad as hell and wasn’t going to take it anymore.”

Jericho then goes on to explain that when both Show and Khali reached backstage Show tried to confront Khali about the same to which Khali replied that he didn’t know what Show was talking about.

Show would then go on to call Khali a “piece of s**t” and Khali would reply with a “same to you bro” which further infuriated Big Show. Show would then go on to punch Khali and Khali would retaliate.

Before anyone could understand anything all hell broke loose as the two giants exchanged punches and blows to each other. Jericho writes that it felt like he was watching Godzilla vs King Kong. The fight abruptly came to an end when Show tripped off a chair and Khali sat on top of him.

Weeks later Ex-WWE Chairman Vince McMahon would make Big Show apologize to Khali for throwing in the first punch. Recalling the incident Khali had once revealed in an interview that he got massive support from the locker room even if he was a foreigner.

He also revealed after the fight Show was weeping silently and said- “He just cry! Look like a baby, matlab. Undertaker bhi serious, matlab! He’s just, ‘F***!’ He said, ‘F***! Idiot! Why! Why he try to hit! Why now he’s cry! This is f***ed.’” You can read the detailed account of the incident here.
