LA Knight is one of the hottest things currently on WWE television. The 40-year-old was recently termed “The Rock’s absolute rip-off” by Kevin Nash. Well, not everyone seems to agree with what the Hall of Famer thinks. Konnan is one such name on the list who does not agree with it. On the latest episode of his podcast, the legendary luchador dismissed claims that cite Knight as a terrible imitation of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Speaking on K100, Konnan recalled LA Knight’s time in Impact Wrestling as Eli Drake. The former too had similar interpretations as Kevin Nash during his first meeting with Knight. He then asked the self-proclaimed megastar whether he was aware of his comparisons with the likes of The Rock & Stone Cold. The former Impact Star said that he was well-versed in his cadence, which resonated with that of The Brahma Bull.

However, Konnan affirmed that The Rock never used phrases like “Yeah” and “Dummy“, much like Knight did, which itself differentiates him from The Great One. According to Konnan, LA Knight is quite inspired by The Rock and usually pays homage to The People’s Champ with whatever he’s got. And ultimately, there’s nothing wrong with that, claimed the 59-year-old.
