Ever since the reports of John Cena being “locked-in” for this year’s WrestleMania came out, everyone is buzzing. Fans are more than ready to have their champ back to where he belongs. With that being said, he’s internally scheduled for face Austin Theory at the Show of Shows. There’s no word as to whether that clash will involve the United States Championship or not.
Sadly enough, John Cena won’t make to WWE television even once before WrestleMania itself. He’s currently filming in Melbourne with Zack Efron and the shoot runs through February & March. For what it’s worth, Cena will most likely show up in Los Angeles only. It sounds like a fairytale comeback story for the 16-time World Champion. However, his rumored opponent Theory will make sure to wipe that smile off the Cenation Leader.
Mentioning the same concerns for his iconic rival, Kurt Angle commented on this dream bout. The reigning US Champ would be a great opponent for Cena. More importantly, The Now can pose some serious threats in front of The Peacemaker star. Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show podcast, the Olympic Gold Medalist kind of put Austin Theory into the limelight ahead of his supposed blockbuster match against John Cena.
“I know John Cena is trying to get back at it, and Austin Theory would be a great match for him. He’d be great, great competition. He’d be a great, great test for John Cena, considering he’s an in-ring general.”

Why John Cena is the perfect opponent for Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39?
The WrestleMania 39 berth kept on changing for John Cena. Previously, he was almost set to battle Logan Paul in a mainstream boom. But of course, due to Cena’s filming schedule, WWE dropped the idea. And now, it’s down to Cena vs. Theory. When Vince McMahon was at the helm, he always viewed Theory as a young John Cena. Actually, having a singles match between them was always a Mr. McMahon’s ideology.
And now, despite of his absence from the creative wheelchair, WWE has decided to pull the trigger on this one. The rejuvenated character of Austin Theory certainly adds much more weight to it. Triple H has done a great job at creating a hallmark for Vince McMahon’s protege. Also, in the recent weeks, Theory is doing a lot of verbal teasing having direct links to the Ruthless Aggression of the Franchise Player.
