Kurt Angle has given us some of the best bouts in the history of WWE. Angle is a highly skilled athlete and he proved that even before he joined WWE, by winning the Olympic gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Kurt has been regarded as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. Angle’s in-ring abilities, stamina, and gimmick in WWE have all received high acclaim. Angle was included in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

Kurt Angle made his WWE in-ring debut in 1999 and performed on the promotion until 2006. Kurt feuded with almost every great there was in the locker room during his time in WWE. He has feuded and has had matches with Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Triple H, Undertaker, The Rock, Shawn Michaels and many more. Kurt was not only a great wrestler but also a great entertainer and portrayed his character very well outside the ring. He is well-known for his humorous antics backstage.

Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan’s feud had begun in June 2002 when Hogan had cost angle a win in the steel cage match against edge. Thereafter Hulk challenged him for a match at the king of the ring live event, which Kurt accepted. Kurt went on to defeat the Hollywood hulk Hogan at the event by making him tap out through Angle lock. This match was a predominant match from smackdown brand at that time.

on the latest episode of the Kurt Angle show Kurt Angle recently addressed how Vince McMahon wanted him to frighten Hulk Hogan during their meeting before their bout at the King of the Ring Live Event. He stated that McMahon wanted him to come out of his seat and approach Hogan’s face, as if threatening him. Kurt remembered the conversation being ludicrous.

“Vince told me beforehand, ‘I want you to get out of your seat and put your nose this close to Hulk Hogan’s nose.’ I am like, ‘Why do you want me to do this? It’s Hulk Hogan,’” he said. “What he’s trying to do is intimidate Hulk, and you can’t intimidate Hulk Hogan, he’s a freaking bad*ss…But the crazy thing is, Vince wanted me to get out of my seat and get real close to his face like I was threatening him – it was ridiculous.”

Kurt Angle has been a winner of the King of the Ring Tournament in 2002. He won it by defeating Rikishi at the finals. Kurt returned to WWE in 2017 and wrestled a few times and was mostly committed to backstage roles as a GM. On 27th June RAW Edition, Angle appeared in a video to congratulate John Cena on his 20th anniversary.
