The American Hero Kurt Angle is one of the greatest athletes to have stepped foot in the squared circle. The Wrestling Machine has contributed a lot to WWE and has made his mark on the pro wrestling industry. Kurt Angle thinks that the Stamford-based promotion’s behemoth $9 billion net worth is the reason why Tony Khan‘s AEW cannot compete with them in the race for superiority.
While speaking on the Grue Rume Show, Kurt Angle said, “Tony Khan has money too, but not WWE-type money“. He stated what a monster of a company WWE is, having its worth in the billions. Therefore, the Hall of Famer believes that it is hard for AEW to compete with WWE right now. Angle did appreciate the fact that the Jacksonville-based promotion is close to their ratings.
The WWE Veteran also mentioned that it’s crazy how fans pick sides in their favorite promotions. However, he made it clear to himself that WWE will always lead the competition, giving AEW the motivation to look forward to something. He stated that AEW is doing great with their ratings and viewership considering their sports-based approach.
Kurt Angle has been a veteran in the wrestling business for nearly 25 years of his career. The amateur wrestler had his break when he secured a gold medal in the Olympics in 1996. He became a superstar in WWE in a short while. WWE then saw the potential and signed a multi-year contract with Angle, making him a celebrated star in the company.
