Kurt Angle made a return to WWE in 2017 and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the same year and thereafter appeared in the company as a GM of RAW and competed in several matches. Kurt Angle left WWE in 2020 as his contract got expired and didn’t wish to sign new as he wanted to focus on his health and nutrition business.
The Olympic Gold Medalist’s recent appearance in the WWE was on August 29th edition of RAW, as the event took place in his hometown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Former WWE Champion sided with the Street Profits during their match with the Alpha Academy and had a Milk Bash with them. He was also pranked by Edge again in a similar fashion to 2002, which involved the posters.
Kurt Angle was a key player of the Attitude Era and made it to the Top card in a year after entering the WWE. His initial feuds were with Triple H, The Rock and Steve Austin for the WWE Championship. Recently on the latest edition of the Kurt Angle Podcast, he revealed an incident that had occurred during his match with Eddie Guerrero on an edition of smackdown in 2000, before his match against Triple H at Unforgiven 2000.

In the 2000, some Women in the crowd had exposed their breasts during the show, which caused the audiences to get distracted and lose interest in the match. Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero competed in the main event of SmackDown in that edition and during the commercial break, the then commentator Jerry Lawler asked the women to show their breasts.
Kurt Angle stated that it was a worst idea by Jerry as the fans then don’t get involved in the match anymore and are more interested in seeing a naked woman in the crowd. Kurt Angle stated that the thing isn’t practiced anymore as it was a wrong thing to do.
“It was the worst idea in the world for Jerry Lawler to have fans show their puppies. Whether it’s during the show or during commercial break, that’s when the fans don’t get involved the match anymore. They’re more interested in seeing naked women in the crowd – and I don’t blame them for that [laughs]. The thing is, it’s something that we tried, it was the wrong thing and we didn’t do it anymore after that.”
Kurt Angle won the match against Eddie Guerrero on SmackDown but lost the match against Triple H at the Unforgiven Pay Per View. Mick Foley was the special guest referee in the match and the match was a No Disqualification match.
