Randy Orton has been away from the company for more than a year now. Fans are waiting to see the Apex Predator make his return to television. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently provided a huge update about Orton’s condition. Angle said that Randy Orton is fit and ready to make his in-ring return soon.
While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold medalist spoke about Randy Orton coming back to life months after his back surgery. Kurt Angle stated that Orton is doing much better and could return to the ring sooner. Angle further continued, stating how the Viper rose to prominence so quickly at an early age.
King Kurt explained that the success of Randy Orton came through his killer instinct, just like any Viper. The WWE veteran believes that he was tall, slender, and thin, which made him move around anywhere with ease. Moreover, Angle stated how the former WWE Champion maintained his agility until now, and this is what kept him on top.
While looking at their match at Vengeance 2006, the American Hero shed light on his friendship with The Apex Predator. Kurt Angle said that it flourished in the same year due to their ongoing rivalry. Randy Orton’s last run in WWE came as a tag team with Matt Riddle. The duo entertained the crowd on the main roster.
The Viper wrestled his last match against The Usos on the May 20, 2022, episode of SmackDown, where he and Riddle lost the RAW Tag Team Championship. The RK-Bro had a chance to unify the tag team championship of both brands but remained unsuccessful in it. Orton has been missing from television since then.

When could Randy Orton possibly return?
Randy Orton has been away from WWE for more than a year now. His last appearance came on the May 20, 2022, episode of SmackDown, when he lost his Tag Team Championship with Riddle to The Usos. His hiatus was meant for his back surgery, which indeed required a longer span to be recovered from.
According to recent reports and Kurt Angle’s comments, it looks like it’s just a matter of time before The Viper returns to WWE. Considering the fandom of The Apex Predator, his return will attract eyeballs around the world. Hence, WWE will plan on doing it at a bigger stage for better exposure.
The former World Champion can return at WWE’s biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam, this year in Detroit. There’s also a good possibility that Orton can return ahead of SummerSlam. The July 7 episode of SmackDown will be live from MSG, and it could also be a place where the Apex Predator surprises the world.
