WWE did whatever they could to pay homage to Bray Wyatt on this week’s SmackDown. His last rival, LA Knight, also paid a heartfelt tribute to Wyatt. Before his main event match against Finn Balor, Knight grabbed the mic and was apparently full of emotions, which were dying to come out. However, the Megastar let them settle down.

Talking about Bray Wyatt, he said that yesterday’s night was all about him. The energy of the fireflies was palpable, and Wyatt’s presence could be felt in the arena, added LA. Also, the 40-year-old looked back at his feud with Bray Wyatt. Admittedly, he said, everything Bray was doing to him was to get him ready for the bigger stage. He even jumped on the bandwagon, with everybody saying, “Thank You, Bray“.

At the end, he wrapped up his part by uttering Wyatt’s patented catchphrase “Run,” taking a shot at The Miz. After that, Knight, who was Bray’s last WWE opponent, battled Finn Balor. Balor had quite the rivalry with The Eater of Worlds on the main roster. Also, The Prince was The Fiend’s first ever opponent when they fought at SummerSlam back in 2019.

Needless to say, WWE booked a perfect match in Bray’s honor. Knight and Balor, who were having their first match together, did not disappoint at all. It was a complete back-and-forth slugfest, with LA Knight eventually picking up the win after planting the Irishman with the BFT. Just like that, Knight picked up the biggest win of his career thus far. The show didn’t go off-air until Bray Wyatt’s lantern blew the lights away forever.

Apart from paying his dues to Bray Wyatt, LA Knight did not miss out on calling out The Miz. After this week’s debacle against Akira Tozawa on RAW, Miz was in disbelief. So much so that the A-Lister vented out his frustrations during a chat with TMZ. Taking that into account, Knight cooked Miz during his promo on SmackDown. He even referred to Miz as a background story at WrestleMania 27 for the eventual Rock vs. Cena showdown.

After insulting The Miz, LA Knight issued an open challenge to finish their beef once and for all. Later on, it was made official. LA Knight and The Miz will settle their differences next Saturday in Pittsburgh at WWE Payback. It will mark Knight’s first singles match at a PLE since this year’s Royal Rumble.
