With the onset of last year’s fall, LA Knight was already a gone case in WWE. However, by the end of 2023, he had become a “megastar.” Recently, while speaking to the Gorilla Position, the 41-year-old recounted a topsy-turvy year that catapulted him into stardom. Knight was proud of the foundation he created. But he also underscored the frustrations that come with it.
The Defiant One noted that WWE had no plans for him after his Royal Rumble showdown against Bray Wyatt. Moreover, he was forged into that program just because the officials thought Knight could hang in there with The Eater of Worlds. Everyone saw how it panned out. Despite Wyatt being the more established face in the feud, Knight was the one who stood out.

Then, his shtick spread like wildfire throughout the WWE Universe. But again, the former Eli Drake was snubbed out of a spot at WrestleMania 39. But considering that Knight is one of the most prominent names on the roster today, a series of unprecedented events in the later half of 2023 took him there.
I really don’t have anything to hang my hat on in that regard. So, for that I’m kinda like, ‘Okay, there’s got to be a time now where I start, I created one hell of a foundation in 2023. Now, it’s time to go and start creating a legacy. So, yeah, I mean is there a little frustration in that regard? I suppose.LA Knight via Gorilla Position
Right now, he doesn’t have anything to hang his hat on, as he said in the aforementioned interview. The Megastar believes that now is the time to cash in on the foundation he laid and morph it into a legacy. He also stated that, one way or another, he’s going to walk into WrestleMania 40.
LA Knight has had enough of AJ Styles
This past Friday on SmackDown, AJ Styles appeared via a pre-recorded message for LA Knight. He said that he’s the perfect man to humble The Megastar.

Later on, Knight slammed the heck out of a television screen he had been watching Styles’ promo on. A week prior to that, LA was on a hunt for AJ, but the latter wasn’t on the show back then as well.
The Defiant One wasn’t done as he continued his tyrannical stance on Styles via SmackDown LowDown. He told The Phenomenal One he must’ve taken The Rock‘s advice, and he’s been smoking ever since.
Knight called Styles “AJ Mild” and mocked his flippy-do maneuvers. The Megastar warned Styles that whenever he decides to show up, a receipt will be waiting for him.
