LA Knight was the hottest and favorite to win the Money in the Bank briefcase according to the betting odds. However, his victory was snatched out of his hands by Damian Priest. After his futile attempt in the ladder match, Knight was seen at WWE’s live event in Cardiff the next night. He delivered a heartfelt promo before his match and commented on how his loss has affected his future in the company.

WWE’s live event at the Cardiff International Arena took place on July 2. Knight came out to address the crowd ahead of his match against Rey Mysterio. He started in a low voice by saying that he wanted everybody to know that last night’s ladder match was his last one. Due to his inability to win the briefcase, he wanted to leave the company. Knight said that all he wanted to do was say goodbye before he was all done with them in his ring gear.

But in a shocking turn of events, he stated that he wouldn’t be doing that anytime soon. His voice intensity increased as soon as he revealed it, receiving cheers from the Cardiff crowd. Knight proceeded to say that the briefcase was in his hands at one point but is now in the hands of somebody he doesn’t care about. Moreover, the 40-year-old stated that he has not been awarded anything since he entered this ring. He highlighted that he had earned it all by himself.

LA Knight then gave a display of his heel persona, trolling the crowd. He stated that he has made himself the top man in the industry because of himself, and that would also be the sole reason for his further success. The former NXT star added that everywhere around the world, there is nobody who can stop him. And as soon as he concluded this statement, Mysterio’s music hit, and he entered for his matchup with Knight. You can watch the video here.

Triple H assures positive things for LA Knight

Knight was the hottest superstar going into the Money in the Bank ladder match. Despite massive fan reception and months of rumors, Damian Priest came out as the winner instead of LA. Besides, fans were disappointed by WWE’s bookings, following Knight’s loss at Money In the Bank ladder match.

Triple H addressed this situation after the event in the press conference as he spoke about the self-proclaimed Megastar. The Game stated that he was aware of Knight’s massive fandom ahead of his match. As a result, he gave fans hope, saying that good things come to those who wait.

HHH assured that Knight would receive great things in the future, considering his massive fan following. The 40-year-old is rumored to be battling at SummerSlam. The upcoming episode of SmackDown airing live from Madison Square Garden will shed light on his future opponent.
