LA Knight's promo from this week's SmackDown is currently making the rounds on the internet, gaining huge views.

The numbers don’t lie. If there’s anyone who dares to nullify LA Knight’s growing popularity in WWE, the metrics shut them down. After keeping him off television at Madison Square Garden, WWE did justice to the 40-year-old this week. They handed him the microphone for a couple of minutes. And it turned out to be the most exciting part about this week’s SmackDown episode.
According to Wrestle Ops’ Twitter account, Knight’s 2-minute promo segment is quickly approaching 4 million views across WWE’s social media platforms. It’s not the first time an LA Knight’s clip has gone viral on the internet. In fact, as of the past week, many of his old videos have resurfaced on Twitter.
That’s just because he already paid his dues and it’s time to usher in the LA Knight era. During his promo this week, he warned Austin Theory. As announced by WWE, Knight will face Sheamus, Rey Mysterio and Cameron Grimes in a Fatal 4-way US Title Invitational match next week. The winner of that match will face Santos Escobar the following week to determine the No. 1 contender for the United States title.
Every other participant except LA Knight received pre-taped backstage promos this week. But, in an extremely positive sign, WWE let Knight go out and have a live show in front of the audience, unlike his counterparts. If it ain’t the beginning of his long overdue push, nothing will probably be.

Will LA Knight vs. Austin Theory take place at SummerSlam?
Fans are manifesting that LA Knight will eventually win this Invitational Tournament. That would see the Megastar challenge Austin Theory for the US Title. However, after reaching that point, WWE can go either way. If they want to pop the ratings for their final SmackDown episode before SummerSlam, they can simply book the match on network television.
However, if the Creative decides to crown a new champion and let LA Knight have his moment in front of nearly 50,000 fans, they should do it at SummerSlam. Going by their usual pattern of booking title matches on the go-home shows, fans should not get their hopes sky-high.
Last month, everyone was left disappointed when LA Knight did not win the Money in the Bank contract. However, the fans are once again gathering hope. This time around, WWE can’t afford to mess with everyone’s emotions. Knight is iron-hot right now, and they need to pull the trigger. Crowning him as the new United States Champion is the easiest decision the WWE officials can make at this point.
