Lacey Evans’ repackaged vignettes aired on the latest edition of SmackDown that teased a big character change for her. WWE also posted on its official website that Evans is going back to basics. Interestingly, Lacey Evans has earlier served in the army for nearly 5 years and it now seems she is turning back to the path to excel again.
Now, “The Lady of WWE” has reacted to her character’s change on Twitter. Sharing a few pictures from the latest drill vignette aired on SmackDown, Evans wrote- “Training like they won’t. To do what they can’t.” After unsuccessfully participating in a six-pack challenge to determine no. 1 contender for Ronda Rousey’s Women’s Championship, Evans had teased a massive character change backstage, and it now seems it’s finally coming into play.
To those unaware, a new vignette had aired on the 2/12 edition of SmackDown where Evans was shown training with the US Marine Corps, who were seen motivating her in the video. An intense narration in the background kept focusing on the fact that Evans had -” lost in the crowd with the whiners and the weak” but now was ready to be back on track.
“Something had to change,” the voice in the background said as Evans fell down while having a drill as several marine soldiers asked her to stand up and start again. The vignette ended with a message – “A mustang gets a tune-up, a boxer goes to training camp, a marine goes back to basics.” The past few months have been detrimental for Lacey Evans, as she has suffered back-to-back losses.

Lacey Evans recently revealed the challenges after her second pregnancy
Lacey Evans had returned to WWE television earlier this year after she took a break because of her second pregnancy. She recently revealed the challenges she faced after returning to a WWE ring post pregnancy and it wasn’t easy for the former Women’s Champion, as the return required her to invest both physically and emotionally into it.
During her recent appearance at the 2 Lies and 1 Truth podcast hosted by Brandi Rhodes, Evans said that it was emotionally challenging for her to be training in the ring leaving behind a baby that needs her 24/7, be it breastfeeding or any other need that may arise. Therefore, it was a challenge for her to make it work because her baby girl needed on her an intimate level.
