After creating a buzz for a few days on the internet, Lacey Evans, aka Macey Estrella, confirmed that she parted ways with WWE last week. However, she clarified that the exit was mutually agreed upon as she wanted to spend more time with her family and wanted to give back to the community in her own way. Estrella opened up a new cafe in Beaufort to mark the new beginnings.

Lacey Evans posted an Instagram post recently that revealed a lot of details about her new venture and how she came around to doing it. Macey revealed that she had a traumatic childhood as her father suffered from alcohol and drug addiction when she was growing up. He also suffered from mental health issues that were not properly treated, resulting in his death.

Estrella also wants to provide a place for people who are suffering from addiction to open up and seek help for their problems.

In an interview with The Island News, Estrella also talked about how her WWE departure came about. She said that both parties let her contract run out and did not sign an extension to the existing contract. The current contract expired on August 15th, according to Macey, and she parted ways with the company after seven years of working on NXT, Raw, and SmackDown during her time there.

In the last few months of her time in WWE, Lacey Evans struggled to do anything of note on SmackDown. Due to inconsistent booking and random appearances, fans had no interest in watching Evans on the show. Apart from that, Evans also revealed that the constant traveling and hectic schedule meant that she could not spend time with her family.

Therefore, Estrella chose to discontinue her relationship with WWE. However, she had nothing but nice things to say about the company and was grateful for her time in the WWE. Now she believes that she can give back to the community in her own way, as she is no longer a WWE superstar.
