Former WWE superstar Lacey Evans did not leave WWE on the best terms. The WWE repackaged and pushed multiple times in the past few years. However, Evans failed to create an impact on the fans. Therefore, WWE was not very keen on keeping the 33-year-old under contract. However, it turns out the former star has a lot of things to rant about from her time in the company.

Evans sat down to discuss her experience on the Power Alpha podcast with Mandy Rose and Tino Sabbatelli. This is what Lacey Evans had to say:

I'm not standing outside of doors anymore waiting on answers that whoever the powers that be can't even look me in the eye and tell me. I got babies to feed and a husband to please, I don't have time for that. I don't owe anybody a damn thing because I work my ass off every day.

Lacey Evans’ contract expired in August 2023, resulting in her release after returning to WWE programming. She underwent a gimmick change and used her army background in her promos. However, constant heel and face turn damaged her momentum, and fans did not care about the 33-year-old on the show. Therefore, during the final few weeks of her run, she had little to no reaction.

Following her release, this was the first time that Evans talked about her experience and exit from the company. Since her exit, the former Marine veteran has opened a cafe in her locality to help people with addictions and disorders. She named the cafe “Sunny Summer’s Cafe” named after her daughters.

Lacey Evans reveals that she had requested for her WWE release

Former WWE superstar Lacey Evans, a.k.a. Macey Estrella, was freed from her contract in August 2023. The news of Evans leaving WWE received mixed reactions from fans online. Despite being lost in the mix and being a midcarder for the majority of her career, Lacey Evans was in WWE for over seven years. However, following her release, Evans claimed that she wanted to leave WWE sooner and had also asked for her release.

While talking to former NXT women’s champions Mandy Rose and Tino Sabbatelli on their podcast, Evans repeatedly revealed that she wanted her release from WWE. The reason behind this is that the routine and the life that a WWE performer has are not for her. She made a startling claim about leaving the company. This is what Evans said about wanting to leave:

I wanted to slip out the back door.
