Last night on Raw, the WWE Universe was left stunned as Lita made her return to the red brand. The four-time women’s champion came out to help Becky Lynch at the end of her Steel Cage match against Bayley. While some fans might disregard this as a one-off nostalgic appearance, recent reports suggest there are plans in store for the Hall of Famer to return to the ring.

Just hours before the show, WRKD Wrestling reported that Lita might return on Monday Night Raw, which turned out to be true. In the same tweet, they revealed the following week’s plans for the story, as Trish Stratus might also make her return. This would lead to a six-woman tag team match between Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus against Damage CTRL. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful corroborated this report by WRKD, calling it a “spoiler” for next week.

Coincidentally, Lita’s last match was at the same event in 2022, where she went against Becky Lynch for the Raw women’s title. As The Man has turned babyface, it appears she has put an end to her feud with the WWE Hall of Famer. Trish Stratus’ involvement in the match also seems sensible, as she is one of the biggest Canadian legends that WWE can get. As the fans know, the Elimination Chamber will be live from Montreal. Seeing the rarity of such shows on Canadian soil, WWE must seek to make this a big-time event with the return of two Hall of Famers to the ring.

Will Lita have a match at WrestleMania?

While Lita has had a legendary career in WWE, she has only one WrestleMania match under her belt. She was part of the women’s title triple threat at WrestleMania X-8 against Jazz and her long-time rival Trish Stratus. Retrospectively, fans find it criminal not to have a WrestleMania singles match for one of the greatest rivalries in women’s wrestling between Lita and Trish.

As it stands, it seems that the drought might continue. Unfortunately, there are currently no plans for either Lita or Trish to be part of any story following the Elimination Chamber. However, reportedly, Becky and Bayley might extend their feud to WrestleMania and The Man might need some backup. Lita could assist Big-time Becks leading up to the Grandest Stage of Them All and evening the odds against Damage CTRL. If the Hall of Famer does compete in a match and get the due recognition, the WWE Universe would be ecstatic.
