The WWE Hall of Fame Lita emerged victorious in her six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania. She, alongside her teammates Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus, defeated the Damage CTRL (Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai). However, Lita didn’t leave that night unbruised.
Lita and Becky Lynch are the Women’s Tag Team Champions. They claimed the title from Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky after Trish Stratus helped them win. The three babyfaces faced the villainous stable, Damage CTRL, in a six-woman tag team match at Showcase of The Immortals. Lita and her team won the match in a hard-hitting contest.
On a recent Instagram story, Lita shared a photo of her suffering a nasty eye injury. She got a black eye in her match at WWE WrestleMania. She also included a funny caption, saying, “You should see the other guy“.
Luckily, it wasn’t a serious injury, as Lita showed up on the RAW after WrestleMania and is now booked to defend her Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. These injuries are common when it comes to wrestling, and Lita understands that. She proudly showed off her injury on her Instagram story and even added humor to it.
Currently, Lita and Becky Lynch are the Women’s Tag Team Champions. They are having a pretty good title run, but fans can’t help but think that it’ll all come crashing down. Rumors are that Trish Stratus will turn on Becky Lynch at some point, which could potentially lead to a match at SummerSlam.
If that does happen, it’s quite possible that Lita will stand by her best friend, leaving Lynch to face them both alone. Next week’s championship match would be a good time for Trish to backstab Becky. But will that actually happen? It remains to be seen.
What happened in the six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania?
On a stacked WrestleMania card, this match didn’t really have much anticipation from fans. However, it ended up being pretty good, with the Damage CTRL proving to be a fierce competition for the WWE Legends.
The match started with Damage CTRL dominating Becky Lynch. When Lita entered the match, she single-handedly turned the tables on her opponents. However, Damage CTRL managed to hold down Lita as well. In the end, Trish and Lita kept Sky and Kai away while Becky picked up the victory by pinning Bayley. Overall, this match had a “fairy tale” ending with the babyfaces winning.
Rumour has it that Trish Stratus will eventually turn on her friends and end up facing either one of them at SummerSlam. Stay tuned to find out if it ends up happening.
