“She look like a punk” Ex-WWE writer discusses how Liv Morgan has been miscast as a weak champion

Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan is one of the most beloved baby faces in WWE and has been a large audience behind her for a long time. She never got a huge push in which she won the championship before this year’s Money in The Bank as in this WWE premium event the unthinkable happened.

Liv Morgan won the Money In The Bank and shocked everyone by cashing in the contract on the same day as Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and won the title from her which lead her to win her first WWE title. Everyone in WWE Universe cheered for her as a babyface champion and even chanted that she deserves this.

Liv Morgan’s first title defense came on SummerSlam as she defended the title against Ronda Rousey. The match ended controversially as Liv pinned Ronda but she was in a submission hold and during the count, she even tapped out to the submission which was not noticed by the referee.

Everybody started to hate Liv Morgan since then and started chanting that she tapped out but Liv never admitted this and moved forward to her next rivalry with Shyna Bazler. In this rivalry both the women have been brawling every week where Liv gets beaten every single week and she looks weak.

Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze stated the same thing as he said that Liv Morgan’s title reign has not been the best thing WWE did as she is looking like a very weak champion and just a fling champion, not a serious one. He also suggested that they should have shown them as a not fearing champion who still stands up but rather they are showing them as a Champion who fears her opponent.

Freddie even pointed out some more points as he said “I don’t know whose fault this is,” he began. “Hear me out on this. I’ve never seen someone have to play a weak champion. Someone who tapped out to get the belt, but remains a babyface. Has to protect her arm, it’s almost not even playing injured, it’s like, scared and frail and weak. The stuff with Shayna made her look like a punk – and she’s the champion.”
