The verdict is out and Liv Morgan has defeated the baddest woman on the planet Ronda Rousey successfully to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Liv Morgan had won the title at the MITB live event by cashing in her MITB contract. Since Vince McMahon’s retirement, the SummerSlam was the first Live occasion. It was a tremendous night that included the thrilling comebacks of Edge and Bayley as well as some intriguing new storylines. Even though the show wasn’t the best, it is nonetheless deserving of praise.
On the latest edition of SmackDown, Morgan and Rousey had teamed up in a tag match and defeated the team of Natalya and Sonya Deville, After the match Liv Morgan displayed some of the bruises from the match on twitter and said bring it up, indicating that she was ready for her match against Rousey at the WWE SummerSlam. Liv played shrewdly to win the game at SummerSlam and demonstrated the never-say-die attitude in the process.

Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey’s Bout lasted for about 4:35 minutes
The bout between Liv Morgan and Ronda was scheduled to start at number seven on the event, and it started with Rousey landing a vicious knee and suplexing Morgan. After that, Liv Morgan used her elbows to strike back at Ronda Rousey’s attempt to smash her. She gave Ronda a Codebreaker and then attempted to use the Oblivion, but Rousey blocked her. Further in the match Ronda Rousey kept hurting Liv Morgan’s arm, which prompted the officials to check on Liv.
Ronda proceeded to assault Morgan’s arm with no remorse, but Morgan managed to step up and make Rousey’s shoulders hit the mat while she was in the middle of the armbar, Morgan was able to pin Rousey and win the bout. After that, Ronda Rousey fought with the referee, claiming Morgan had tapped out to the armbar before the three count. After the bout, she went to attacking the referee before being stopped by WWE Officials.
Liv Morgan has now shared on twitter about her win saying that she is still the SmackDown Women’s Champion and the new baddest women on the planet. She concluded by saying that she loves this more, indicating that she wants to fight in bouts like this more often.

There might be a rematch for this, as the match ended controversially and we might see the two facing each other again at the Clash of Castle event.
