Liv Morgan made her shocking return on SmackDown this week, leaving fans astounded. After Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler defeated Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre to unify those women’s tag titles, Raquel Rodriguez confronted them. She expressed her wish to reclaim those straps, which she never lost. However, the confusion for the champs was when Rodriguez addressed herself “we.”
Rousey & Baszler seemed perplexed over why Rodriguez referred to herself as “they.” However, she had a reason for it, as Liv Morgan made her surprising return. That was enough to wipe those wicked smiles off the newly crowned champs’ faces. Morgan & Rodriguez then walked down that aisle and confronted the former UFC aces. Without saying or making the first move, Liv & Raquel made their intentions crystal-clear.
Morgan had been absent from WWE programming since early May. She suffered a minor injury in a tag team match against Bayley and Dakota Kai on SmackDown. Fans hoped to have her back as soon as possible. However, no one thought that she’d be able to recover that swiftly. The WWE Universe loved to see her back.
As noted, Liv and Raquel never lost those tag titles in the first place. They were forced to relinquish them due to Morgan’s injury. But now that Liv’s back in the fold, she and her partner are gunning to reclaim the glory. During a backstage interview after last night’s show, the duo confirmed that they’re coming after the Unified Women’s Tag-Team Champions first and foremost. Watch the video of Liv Morgan’s return.

Does Liv Morgan have a bright future ahead in WWE?

The 29-year-old tasted great success last year. First of all, she won the women’s Money in the Bank contract. And on the same night, she successfully cashed in on Ronda Rousey. As a result, Morgan became the SmackDown Women’s Champion for the very first time in her career. That was probably the best moment she’s had so far in the company.
She had a decent title reign before losing it to Ronda Rousey at Extreme Rules. Although Morgan was handed a tag partner shortly after that, she gained quite a bit of steam as a singles star with that title. Since then, the former Riott Squad member has been trying to find the right footing for herself.
She can do wonders as a tag team champion alongside Raquel Rodriguez. Morgan has established herself in that singles competition. For sure, the future is all about her. The WWE higher-ups see untapped potential in the superstar from New Jersey. She would be a main-event prospect in a matter of months.
