When Logan Paul debuted in WWE, many people and even wrestlers didn’t want him there because they thought he was just a YouTuber. But he proved everybody wrong when he became the new United States champion after beating Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel.

He impressed the wrestling fans with his in-ring skills and ability to carry the match. Recently, he replaced Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on the banner of WWE’s official website as a regular champion. Now that he’s a US champion, he will be present at every possible show in the company.

Unfortunately, Rey Mysterio suffered a torn meniscus after the match and will be out for 6 to 8 weeks. He shared the information as he was undergoing successful knee surgery. His knee injury went on for nearly three months, and it was getting worse. That’s why he decided to lose his title to Logan, so after the angle between him and Santos Escobar, he can get some time off and focus on healing.

For that reason, Rey was replaced by the current US champion, Logan Paul. It will be interesting to see how these two superstars will carry on, while one is in a really good phase of his career and the other is nearing retirement.

Logan Paul wants to become a tag team champion with Dominik Mysterio

Logan Paul is excited to try new things in WWE. Now he shared that he wants to become a tag team champion with the current NXT North American Champion and Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio.

I want to do it with the endeavor and pursuit of getting more belts. Do I become tag team champion with Dominik Mysterio? Could be fun. You got two heels, you got two people that the audience loves to hate. I like Dom.

The US champ revealed in his podcast, Impaulsive, that he wants to team up with Dominik. The two have developed a sort of heel-to-heel friendship. Dominik even went ahead and congratulated Logan on defeating his father, Rey, at Crown Jewel.

Fans might not like this pair, but they certainly can perform their best work in the future if put together. It will be interesting to see whether they will be a part of a tag team or if they will find success on their individual paths.
