The United States Champion Logan Paul defended his title against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble. The two had a marquee match with a controversial ending. Recently, on his podcast, Paul broke an interesting backstage story about himself before the match involving Bloodline member Paul Heyman.

On his Impaulsive podcast, the Social Media Megastar stated that his match was after the Roman Reigns‘ Fatal 4-Way match. The Bloodline’s Wise Man, Paul Heyman, called out Logan while he was preparing for his bout. The manager hilariously taunted him by telling him to live up to the intensity of Reigns’ match. The Maverick also claimed Owens to be ruthless.

The Maverick accepted that he underestimated the Prizefighter in their previous encounters. He added that the former Universal Champion is a hard hitter, as he delivered some brutal chops to him. The United States Champion revealed that he has the fingerprints of Owens’ chops on his chest.

Owens and Paul delivered a great match-up. During the closing sequence of the match, the Prizefighter delivered a vicious right hand while wearing the brass knuckles. It was spotted by the referee, which led to the Maverick achieving a disqualification victory. Only time will tell if the two stars are going to collide in WWE ever again or not.

Logan Paul believes he is the next Roman Reigns

Logan Paul is one of the biggest superstars in WWE right now. He has been a champion in the company since November and has been impressive in the ring as well. While speaking on his podcast, Paul claimed that he has been following in the footsteps of Roman Reigns and is on his way to becoming the next top guy in the company.

On the Impaulsive podcast, the Maverick claimed that he has retained his title against all odds at Royal Rumble. Likewise for the Head of the Table. He added that, at this speed, he might become the next megastar of the company. Therefore, he considers himself to be the next star of the company.

I did retain my title against all odds for the first time in WWE, and that's all it takes, title defense at a time. Who knows? With this rate, I could be the next Roman Reigns.
