It seems as though CM Punk is definitely coming back to WWE, given the hints that the company is dropping every week. From quoting Punk’s promo on commentary to using Punk’s move, the superstars and commentators have gone all in with the teasing. After Seth Rollins used Punk’s quotes in one of his promos recently, Shinsuke Nakamura went a step further this week.
While brawling with Ricochet, Nakamura used the “GTS” maneuver, which happens tobe CM Punk’s finisher. Therefore, the internet has been going nuts since then. Additionally, this just furthers the case that the Second City Saint might be back at WWE. It is expected that CM Punk will return to the Survivor Series, which takes place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
The rivalry between Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins has been one of the most compelling stories on the red brand. So far, Rollins has been victorious on every occasion, but Nakamura does not look like he is done with the World Heavyweight Champion. Therefore, fans will have to wait and see how the story unfolds between the two top stars.

Eric Bischoff thinks a CM Punk return to WWE is unnecessary
Amidst widespread speculation about CM Punk potentially returning to WWE following his departure from AEW, industry veterans have begun sharing their perspectives on the matter. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently weighed in on the topic during an episode of his podcast.
While talking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff said, “WWE doesn’t need CM Punk. They are doing very well without him. Chicago is going to pop either way. No added value. None!” The former WCW head honcho said that the Stamford-based promotion does not need to depend on the former AEW star to get a reaction in Chicago, which is Punk’s hometown.
Survivor Series will take place in Chicago on November 25th. Therefore, WWE is going all-in to set up huge matches and segments for the big event. It will be interesting to see whether the WWE Universe gets to witness the return of CM Punk on the upcoming premium live event.
