WrestleMania 40 is just a few months away. Understandably, WWE has already started to plant the seeds for a couple of box-office matches. That said, a recent report indicated that Grammy-award-winning star Bad Bunny might not be a part of the greatest spectacle in Philadelphia next year.
According to a report by XeroNews, Bad Bunny could be left off the WrestleMania 40 card. The report suggests that WWE currently has no creative plans for the renowned artist. However, there is a chance that the global superstar could make his presence felt at the Tropicana Field for Royal Rumble next year. Moreover, Bad Bunny will likely not be incorporated into any storyline until June 2024.
Bad Bunny made his first-ever WrestleMania appearance two years ago at WrestleMania 37. The global superstar teamed up with Damian Priest to take on the duo of The Miz and John Morrison. He also competed in the Royal Rumble last year, which Brock Lesnar won. He was also present at The Show of Shows this year for a non-wrestling appearance.
The superstar had his most recent wrestling match in WWE against Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight at WWE Backlash. Despite his lack of experience, the 29-year-old delivered one hell of a performance. Nonetheless, only time will tell if WWE decides to bring back the global sensation for another Mania appearance.
Bad Bunny intends to challenge Roman Reigns for a singles match
Bad Bunny is one of the world’s most prominent music artists. Beyond his singing talent, he has expressed a passion for wrestling, evident in his music videos featuring WWE superstars. Speaking of which, Bad Bunny recently expressed his desire to face Roman Reigns.
The 29-year-old recently sat with Vanity Fair via Michael Fairman TV to discuss numerous topics about his career. He also touched on his undying passion for wrestling. It was then that the global sensation stated that he has his eyes fixated on the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship currently held by Roman Reigns.

Bunny admitted his wish to face Reigns. However, he warned that he is trying to not entice himself into working another wrestling match as his last match, against Priest was too painful. The 29-year-old has won the defunct 24/7 title once during his initial stint with WWE. It will be interesting to see if WWE straps up Bad Bunny to capitalize on his global popularity.
