WWE Announces major change to Women’s Tag Team Championship match on Smackdown 1200 tonight, HUGE Fatal-5 Way also made official

WWE Smackdown tonight will be the first from Canada in over 3 years
Tonight marks the 1200th edition of WWE’s weekly episodic television show – Friday Night Smackdown and the event will emanate from The Centre Bell in Montreal, Canada. This will mark the company’s return to Canada for a main-roster taping after nearly three years and for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic made it’s presence known.
Now, the promotion is making sure to provide us extreme level of thrill and wholesome content from tonight’s showing. First of all, the atmosphere tonight is going to be supposedly electrifying as the Montreal are some of the best wrestling crowds in the entire world. Taking about how many people have shown their interest in attending the event in-person, we have some really good numbers to share for that too.
There is a current setup of 10,544 seats with around 9,480 tickets out of them being already distributed. This is once again turning out to be a strong house for WWE as been the case for quite sometime now.
WWE makes major announcements for the 1200th Smackdown special tonight

Moments ago, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels officially informed about a major change for tonight’s Women’s Tag-Team Championship Tournament. He announced that The Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne would be replacing the duo of Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark against Sonya Deville and Natalya. This came after Lyons suffered some injury during this week’s NXT Heatwave Special., hopefully so this all is just a storyline.
In addition, we will be going to witness a major Fatal-5-way match to crown the number 1 contender for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship. The match includes Sheamus, Happy Corbin, Madcap Moss, Ricochet and Canada’s own Sami Zayn.
